Description

Home of the France national teams

Stade de France is the national stadium of France. The all-seater stadium has a capacity of some 75,000, which makes it the sixth largest stadium in Europe. The France national football team and French rugby union team call the venue home.

Built for the 1998 FIFA World Cup, the name of the stadium was recommended by French legend Michel Platini. It's listed as a category four stadium by UEFA and has many world class football, rugby and other sporting events, and concerts. Among the events hosted here, the 2003 World Championships in Athletics, and the 2007 Rugby World Cup distinguish the arena as the only stadium in the world to have hosted both a Football World Cup final and a Rugby World Cup final.
