Description

This historic steel bridge is a sight to behold. Designed in the Beaux Arts style, it spans from the Grand Palais and Petit Palais across Les Invalides on the Left Bank. It has been a listed historical monument since the 1900 Exposition Universelle (World’s Fair). Along with its cherubs and nymphs, four statues of 17-meter-high gilded winged horses top the pylons. As if that were not enough, the bridge is also graced with Art Nouveau lamps, which provide a captivating spectacle when illuminated at night. To top it off, one can enjoy sensational views of the Eiffel Tower when standing on the bridge.
