Description

At the entrance of the neoclassical rotunda lies the expansive Parc Monceau, a lush 8.2 hectare garden designed by Louis Carrogis Carmontelle in 1778–1779. Featuring winding paths, ponds, and flower beds, the park holds its original Egyptian-style pyramid, a bridge modeled after Venice's Rialto, and a Renaissance arch and Corinthian colonnade. Visitors can enjoy play areas, a carousel and puppet shows especially designed for children.
