Description

The Musée d’Orsay, only a 10-minute walk from the famous Louvre museum, houses a spectacular collection of artwork and is renowned for its incredible array of impressionist and postimpressionist pieces. The walls of the Musée d’Orsay are brightly coloured, highlighting the works of celebrated artists such as Renoir, Gauguin, Cézanne and Degas, making it appear as if the canvases are hung in a personal residence.

The museum is located in the former Gare d'Orsay railway station, a stunning example of art nouveau architecture, and the highlight of the museum is the national collection of masterpieces from 1848 to 1914, including those of Manet, Monet, Renoir, Degas, Pissarro and Van Gogh. There are also many decorative arts, graphic arts and sculptures to explore.
