The Paris Town Hall suffered severe destruction during the 1871 Paris Commune, but was rebuilt in a magnificent neo-Renaissance style between 1874 and 1882. Its impressive façade showcases 108 statues of famous Parisians, and the complimentary entry exhibitions inside (at 29 rue de Rivoli) are dedicated to the city itself.
