Description
This quad bike tour of Paris is about driving, not listening: you take the handlebars of an automatic quad, easy to operate, and ride through the city in a small group under the eye of instructors. They know the best spots and the best places for photos, but they are not history guides, so expect a ride rather than a lecture.
The 1.5-hour tour starts in the 15th arrondissement. You are given a helmet, gloves and a hygienic hairnet, followed by a full safety briefing, and a few minutes are enough to get used to the automatic transmission. Then you set off:
- the Bir-Hakeim Bridge, for a first crossing of the Seine
- the Trocadéro esplanade and a loop around the Arc de Triomphe
- a ride down the Champs-Élysées
- the glass roofs of the Grand Palais and Pont Alexandre III
- Les Invalides with its dome, then the Champ de Mars
The finale is a photo stop right beneath the Eiffel Tower, and the guide takes photos and videos of you at every stop. From age 18 no driving licence is needed; from 16 you can ride with a valid licence such as a BSR, an AM or a moped licence. The tour is not suitable for children under 6.
