Description

A three-hour Paris bike tour away from the busiest spots: Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Latin Quarter and the Marais with a guide, on a Dutch bike or an e-bike.

This Paris bike tour is for people who have already seen the postcard landmarks and want the stories behind the streets. Over three hours a guide leads you through three districts, each with its own character, and the questions start early: where was the French Revolution first planned, where did the rich shop in the 18th and 19th centuries, which is the oldest historic district?

The ride starts near the Opéra and heads for Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the bohemian and intellectual quarter of Camus, Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir. It continues to the Latin Quarter, then to the Marais. Along the way the guide shares stories of great personalities and monuments, and of royal families such as the de Medici, whose whims gave the city some of its most beautiful palaces and buildings.

You ride an authentic Dutch bike, or choose an e-bike; to book an e-bike you must be at least 155 cm tall. Food and drinks are not included. Check the weather forecast and dress for cycling.

The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Notre-Dame are famous for good reason, but this tour is about the history, architecture and culture of the quieter corners.
