Description
A virtual reality tour of the Seine puts the past right in front of you, on the very spot where it happened. With a live guide and a headset, you walk 1.2 km along the riverbank, a UNESCO World Heritage area, for about one hour. The scene of today gives way to the scene of yesterday.
Through more than 15 VR capsules you move across 2,000 years: the first Parisii settlements, the Viking siege, the French Revolution and the Liberation of Paris. The latest headsets show 360-degree images with immersive sound, and the reconstructions were checked by historians and experts. The experience, called the Origins of Paris, is available in English, Spanish and French.
- a walk of 1.2 km in the open air near the Hôtel de Ville
- meeting point on the Right Bank quays under the Pont Louis-Philippe
- a guide who handles the headsets, so no experience is needed
You choose your time slot when you book. The minimum age is 8, comfortable shoes are recommended, and some sections may be hard for people with reduced mobility.
