Description
This Louvre small group tour is built around a very small group: never more than six guests walk with a licensed guide through the museum's best-known rooms, and a pre-booked entry is part of the booking. Over two hours you move from the elegance of ancient Greek sculpture to the Italian Renaissance and on to French painting.
The guide is there to tell what the labels leave out. Stops include the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, each with the story behind it. With so few people around you, questions are welcome at every stop and nobody has to crane over a crowd.
