Description
This Sancerre wine day trip from Paris opens with a morning hotel pick-up. On the road you eat a fresh croissant while your English-speaking wine guide sketches the region's past and its wine traditions. The group never exceeds eight guests, and the minivan is air-conditioned.
In Sancerre you visit two or three wineries and go down into their cellars to see how the wine is made. Your guide explains why three soils, Les Silex, Les Calcaires and Les Terres Blanches, give wines so unlike each other. After a drive among the vines you stop at a viewpoint for a glass of wine.
