A Burgundy wine tour from Paris takes you from central Paris to the vineyards of Chablis country. A driver-guide meets the group in central Paris and drives an air-conditioned vehicle to the Burgundy region. There are never more than eight people.
The first winery is where you walk the vineyards and learn how the soil shapes local wines. You taste an award-winning Chablis along with six other wines. Then you stop in the town of Chablis, where you can buy lunch.
- a family-run estate that has been working since 1453, with a 21st-generation winemaker who presents five of the family's favourite wines
- a third winery with the largest cellars in the region, finishing with two sparkling Crémant wines
Altogether you visit three producers, two of them family-run and one making sparkling wine, and taste more than ten wines. Visits are covered by the tour.
The day is long, about twelve hours, and the drive back to Paris is a chance to relax. Food and tips are extra.
