Description
This wine and cheese tasting in Paris takes place in 'Secret wine door', a cosy shop in the 15th arrondissement, and it was designed to feel nothing like a classroom. Your host, a certified wine expert (WSET) born in Paris and raised abroad, left a day job in 2019 to share French wine in a more relaxed, personal way.
Over about two hours you taste six wines, one Champagne plus a mix of whites and reds, with a rosé in some summer sessions, all from independent producers. Six artisan cheeses from small producers come alongside, and the baguette is unlimited. If you do not eat cheese, charcuterie can replace it.

Along the way you pick up pairing tips, learn how to taste like a professional, hear wine anecdotes and find out how to order French wine and look after bottles at home. The group is limited to 16 people, so the setting stays intimate. The shop is a 15-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, on the street where a well-known film was shot. Children under 18 cannot join, and the session is in English.
